I just started using Youtube and Flickr a few days ago due to a new program that has me addicted to social networking called Empire Avenue. These are two of the social networks they track for how social you are. I have had my Youtube channel for along time over at Sean Supplee’s Youtube Channel.
Lets get down to what you came here for and that’s how to get more views to your Youtube channel and your Youtube videos. These are real views not some fake mass send you might find somewhere else. While this does not work for all videos, taking these things into account when you add your description and the few minutes spent after you upload it can result in your video getting thousands of new viewers in no time.
1 – Use SEO tactics to find keywords people are using to search for the topic your video is about. When you do a Google search you will notice that many keywords you type in will present Youtube videos that are related to that topic. While it is still not clear how Google picks what videos are shown, my best guess would be a combination of many things such as keywords in the title and description along with some type of popularity of the video. By doing some SEO keyword research your video can show up in searches!
2 – Search for other videos on Youtube that are like the topic your video is about. Click on the “Show more” link at the bottom of the video to pull up it’s description and other information. What you want here are the tags they used. If this video has thousands of views then consider using the tags they did. Pull from 2 or 3 top viewed videos for the niche your video deals with and add them to your own.
3 – This one takes a bit of time but the simple act of commenting on other videos and leaving a smart yet cleaver saying that gets thumbed up can gain you massive exposure for your Youtube channel.
4 – Fiverr offers some great deals to give your Youtube account a quick boost. If your channel is new and you need some fast exposure consider this service.
