Best Incentives for Driving Email Subscribers

What current methods are you using to build your email opt in list? Are your conversion rates high?  If they ignore your free offer for opting in then your visitors are just to use to what you are offering and its time to try something different.

Most lists are built around selling you a product or service. I don’t know about you but I am tired of joining list after list and just being pitched to buy this or that. While it’s ok to do this from time to time what I recommend is instead providing valuable content to your email list. This gives your list members a reason to 

look forward to your emails and open them. It also removes any hard selling which many people unsubscribe from a list for. By providing quality information such as notifications of blog posts or a weekly training video you will retain your subscribers and have an active list.

What are people looking for?

If your not getting subscribers or very few then what you offer is not what people are looking for. What people are really looking for is valuable information that helps them. By providing quality information and addressing your lists most popular questions members have (I do this via survey monkey) you will retain your subscribers and add additional subscribers easier.

What should You Focus On?

The most important thing you need to focus on is your readers. Treat them right and they will buy from you. Soft selling is the best practice I can tell you to use as an affiliate marketer. By giving away information or a quality honest review on a product or service you can build trust. If the product is total junk make sure you write why it’s total junk. While you will not make any sales from that post you still gain respectability to your list allowing you to make a sale when you give an  honest review on a product that does do well.
