Writing Effective Articles

Article marketing is quickly gaining strength in the advertising world. Not only is it a great way to get a high quality backlink to your site, it also will generate traffic to your site. You also have the ability to brand your name and business here as well. Let’s go over some key features that make a solid article.

Your Headline

Your headline should be specific to give the seeking reader a solid understanding of what they are going to learn. It is also important to input your keyword into this headline/title.

Use Proper Spelling and Grammar

Your readers are looking for quality here. They are reading your article to gain information for a topic that they need to better understand. Taking the extra time to make sure your article has correct spelling and grammar will increase its value. This also gives your article a better chance to be republished which will gain you more traffic and backlinks.

How To Start Your Article

This is the most important step in article marketing. Include your most valuable content at the beginning of the article. You want to grab the reader’s attention and keep them interested by developing this key point throughout your following paragraphs.

Don’t Oversell

Many times articles are created to sell a product or services. While this is fine it’s a good idea not to oversell your reader. There is a big difference from hard selling someone and soft selling them. Offer your service as a possibility to aid them and gather more information. Your article should not be all about your product and why they should buy it. This method is called hard selling and will turn many readers away.

Your Resource Box

When creating your resource box it is a good idea to chop your last paragraph in half and include your sites link in it. This creates a feel of flow to your article and leads them into a soft sell to your product, service or site.
