Site Review
Viral Bookmarking Review
October 10, 2010

One issue we all have as an affiliate marketer is getting our links and ads to spread across the net. We strive to accomplish this by creating viral content that spreads on its own. Many times this is hit or miss and can end up costing us big. As a marketer its hard to say what’s going to become viral and what’s not. One method to trying to create this viral aspect is bookmarking our sites on other sites such as digg, reddit, delicious, mister wong, friend feed and the all popular twitter. What if you had some control and could give your bookmarking campaigns a little kick in the butt to get started. Having this edge over others is what viral bookmarking is all about. It’s a site based on users that bookmark each others sites in exchange for them doing the same. You can either earn these credits by taking action and by booking others or save some time and buy credits to have your sites bookmarked by others.

What I don’t like about this site…

Its lack of membership which is always expected when a new site comes online. You do have to pay to become a member, but this does keep cheaters and abusers out of  the system.

The site does take some time to set up by having to create accounts at about 10 bookmarking sites and activating them. They do however offer the option at a cost to hire them to do this work for you.

What I Do like about this site…

Its easy to use, anyone can jump in and follow the easy step by step directions and start getting their sites bookmarked.

The idea behind it, people helping people goes a long way when you are an affiliate marketer. By helping each other out you build a relationship with them and can even start connecting with other top marketers since you have an avenue of communication via your bookmarking and web 2.0 websites. It’s a great way to meet other dedicated marketers who take their business seriously.

Go ahead and give viral bookmarking a try for a month, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the benefits it can give your advertising.  Join Viral Bookmarking here (Affiliate link, I do earn a percentage commission of all sales made from this link. This statement is here to abide by FDC rules)

  • Hi Mr.Supplee,

you know peaople are lazy and even such a thing as social bookmarking is quite simple and non-so-energy-consuming they often rely on outsourcing…

    Be well,
    Ivan G.

True outsourcing is important with any business. In a way this site can be used to outsource your bookmarking. You can buy credits and allow others in the membership bookmark your products. I found this site to be pretty effective in the way that some big names are in there with accounts that have many friends and a fan base. It’s because of these having someone popular in the IM field bookmark my site people take more notice to it then a bunch of fake accounts bookmarking it. Which sadly does seem to happen pretty often when outsourcing bookmarking.

  • Tracy Ingram says:

Sean, that is exactly correct. Outsourcing the bookmarks. As we all know, you have to outsource some things when you start to grow, and the things you get help with are things that you are not as talented at, so you can focus on where your real talent lays. It is great news that there is a site to do the bookmarking for us. thanks for the information, as it will be used well.

great review, I joined recently and thinks its great, I try and spend 30 mins per day bookmarking and I seem to be getting some good results.

  • I hope you accept some constructive critics:)
Your revew is ok, but it has some erros.
The service might have changed after your review, so I don say it your fault.. Under “What I don’t like about this site…”
you write:”Its lack of membership which is always expected when a new site comes online. You do have to pay to become a member, but this does keep cheaters and abusers out of the system.

    1) what do you mean by lack of membership? I see membeship options right away on the site..

2)You do not have to pay to become a member, There is a free option.

I would like to hear if you had any good results from the service..

And I do agree with you, the idea behind the service is great.
I only would like to find out if its good in realety:)
